01

Situation

Complaint analysis depended on labor-intensive Excel review.

Quality leaders received complaint information across multiple categories and files. Manual filtering made recurring issues easy to miss and investigations slower to start.

02

Task

Design a Power BI experience that made nine complaint categories usable.

Consolidate the data, establish consistent measures, and create a dashboard that U.S. and Italy Quality Directors could navigate without technical support.

03

Action

I designed the data model and the decision path together.

I standardized source data in Power Query, created reusable measures in Power BI, and organized the report from overview to detail.

  1. Prepared the dataCleaned categories, dates, products, and source fields.
  2. Modeled the measuresCreated repeatable calculations for comparisons.
  3. Designed the overviewPrioritized KPIs, filters, and categories.
  4. Enabled investigationAdded small multiples to reveal hidden patterns.

04

Result

Quality leaders could move from overview to investigation in one report.

The dashboard replaced repeated manual review with a consistent, interactive view that helped leaders spot trends and focus investigations.
